Applying for a Work Permit in Ireland
by Gillean Guy
If you are not a national of an EEA State an employer will require a work permit to employ you. While some companies are willing to sponsor a non-national to work in Ireland, many are not. If you are lucky enough to be offered a job and sponsorship by an Irish company they will need to apply for a work permit on your behalf.
There are two procedures, which an employer can follow to apply for your permit, depending on your circumstances.
